'Bronson'
Rather painful RSI has struck again, making typing extremely difficult at the moment. So I may keep things to a minimum over the coming weeks.
I watch Bronson at the weekend, the biopic of "Britain's most notorious prisoner", Charles Bronson. It was an interesting film that bravely chose to go down a more avant-garde / surrealist route than your usual Danny Dyer-esque lad-flick. It sort of worked, and a pumped-up Tom Hardy was utterly engaging as Bronson - he managed the voice, physique and tempermanet - but I can't help think it lacked a little something. The slightly lazy comparisons to A Clockwork Orange were a little off the mark too, though it did feature a) incarceration b) violence and c) lots of classical music.
Here's the trailor for it.
